When working on the Audible account through my stay at the FKA agency the team and I were faced with the challenge of promoting Audible's extensive audiobook library on visually-oriented social media channels, with very limited materials to work with - only a very flat audiobook cover file and a audio sample. To overcome this obstacle, we needed to adopt an innovative approach.
I particularly enjoyed working on this type of Evergreen content because the limitation of materials spurred our team to be highly creative.
We combined three types of assets: Trailers, which provided a more imaginative approach and allowed us to build a new world for the keyart to live in; Animated keyart, which involved isolating the key art elements and animating them; and Audiograms, a typography-based animation that helped guide the audience along with the narrator. Each of these assets was tailored to the mood and feel of the corresponding audiobook and drew inspiration from its key art.
